Well, I definitely don't want to take away any of your future enjoyment of Chainsaw Man with another lists of faults, but I think Maid War beats it on every level.

As a black comedy, Maid War is darker and funnier; as a crime drama, it's more intense; and it's complete in one season. Ranko is more compelling than Aki; Nagomi is more relatable than Denji. I still think about Maid War sometimes, because it was meaningful and tragic.

As for Chainsaw Man, I mostly think about the preposterous hype. Maybe the show could benefit from lower expectations.
